What Happens During Treatment?

Fibroblast Treatment Skincare Routine

It’s common to experience swelling, redness, dry skin, after a fibroblast plasma pen. With that said, you should take your plasma aftercare as seriously as the treatment itself. What happens to you and your skin post-treatment also depends on your tolerance and sensitivities:

Before Treatment

• No spray tanning 2-4 weeks. Use an SPF50 product to prepare the skin which is especially important for those with darker skin tone. For the face, we recommend using our Advanced Anti-Age Sun Emulsion CC Sun Cream (SPF50) which has a light texture.
• There should be no other type of treatments on the same area you’re prepping for plasma pen which include chemical peels or other clinic treatments. Otherwise, you run the risk of being rendered unqualified for treatment.
• Make sure you’re in good condition to have the procedure. No fever, flu, or cold as these may complicate things for your therapist. You should postpone it otherwise.

After Treatment

• Expect a stinging sensation in the treated area which is normal and usually only lasts an hour. Follow your therapist’s aftercare instructions.
• No cleansing for 24 hours. After that, only use a mild cleanser such as the Therapy Comfort and Youthfulness Cleansing Milk, great for aftercare and beyond.
• The first 12 hours are important for keeping the skin clean, so it’s best to avoid activities that expose you to contaminants
• Avoid chlorinated water to avoid irritation of skin after treatment so no prolonged soaking in tubs and swimming pools
